1. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for several seconds until the display goes black.

1. Open the Settings app.

How to perform a factory reset if your Galaxy S10 isn't responding

If you need to do a factory reset but the screen does not appear to be working, you're not out of options — there's a way to factory reset your Galaxy phone with just its buttons.

1. Plug the phone into a USB port so it has enough power to complete the reset — if the screen isn't working, you might not be able to tell how much battery life it has left.

2. Press and hold the power button until the phone switches off completely.

3. Press and hold the Power, Bixby, and Volume Up buttons simultaneously.

4. Hold all three buttons until you see the Android logo appear. Then let go of the buttons.

5. Use the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons to navigate to the option labeled "Wipe data/factory reset."

6. Press the Power button to select this option.

7. Use the Volume Down button to select "Yes – delete all user data" and press the Power button to select it.

8. When you see "Reboot system now," press the Power button to restart the phone.
