The Air Force 1 was originally released as a high top in 1982. It was designed for basketball, though today the shoe is worn by the general public. The leather original has been compared to a hiking boot for both its profile and hefty sole. Since the 1980s, the AF1 has been re-imagined in a number of heights, materials and colorways. These include the Nike Air Force 1 Low Travis Scott Cactus Jack, which mixes textures and patterns and encloses the laces with a zipper.
