Why Lookout Mountain?

Vet clinics open on weekends near me

Lookout Mountain Veterinary Clinic provides excellent medical care for your pets in a warm, friendly environment, using state-of-the-art equipment by an experienced and well-educated staff.  The clinic has been operating at the same location for more than 30 years and has an extensive list of loyal, long-time clients.

Most families love their dogs and cats as much as they love their children and want their animals to receive only the best medical care. That’s what you’ll find at Lookout Mountain.

Dr. Schure and Dr. Cook have been practicing together for nearly 25 years. It's amazing to think that the wonderful Dr. Edens has been with us for five years. And now we welcome our friend Dr. Courtney Leibering  to the family in 2021. All of our doctors focus on preventive medicine as well as complex medical and surgical cases.  Their goal... to provide the highest standard of veterinary medical care.

The doctors and technicians all work together as a team.  Most of Lookout Mountain’s technicians and support staff have been with the clinic for ten years or more, and many have earned their Certified Veterinary Technician degrees.

Dogs and cats that aren’t sick can enjoy a spa day at Lookout Mountain’s full-service on-site grooming facility. Each pet is special, and each pet owner is important.  Both deserve to be treated with respect and expertise. You’ll know after your first visit you have chosen the right clinic.

Do vets cost more on weekends?

It's just more expensive to run a night vets because of higher staffing costs, plus the fact that every case that comes in is likely to be urgent.

How much does it cost to consult a vet?

How much should a vet visit cost? A routine checkup can cost between $50 to $250, and most general veterinary care costs less than $500. Some unexpected health problems can cost many thousands of dollars to treat depending on the condition. Ongoing costs like those associated with cancer treatments can cost even more.
