Perhaps Nike’s most iconic and enduring silo, the Air Force 1 is a street legend! Originally released in ’82 under the name ‘Air Force’ and designed by one of Nike’s top designers, Bruce Kilgore, the sneaker was initially released as a performance kick. Nike put together a large marketing campaign with six of the NBA’s biggest stars for an iconic air strip photo shoot to promote the sneaker to a basketball audience. Aside from that quirky detail, this new Nike Air Force 1 Low “Just Do It” release is ultra-elegant, with clean white leather uppers working in unison with tonal cross-hatched overlays The aforementioned Swoosh sits at the midfoot in white nylon, with matching rear overlays dressed with special-edition gold crowns. These headpieces return again on the insoles — again in gold — alongside special “Just Do It” insignia and Roman numerals reading 2023 — a hint at the pair’s expected release. The pair is then completed by metallic gold dubraes, gold midsole brand markings, and luxe burgundy liners. While an official release date for this new Nike Air Force 1 Low “Just Do It” has yet to be revealed, the insole detailing would suggest that a release won’t be on the way until we edge closer to 2023.
