Customer reviews2.0 out of 5 stars Less tape. Less function. I've purchased this filter several times now for my LG refrigerator. Each time, I wonder why I'm paying around 12 dollars for cheap filter paper taped to a plastic square, but it's a simple product that does what it's supposed to. However, this last purchase, I was given something of lesser quality. I used the same link to purchase the product, and it arrived in the same LG branded box (as shown on product page), but this time the filter was not taped properly.The older filters, the tape was on all four sides, leaving no gaps. This would seemingly force air to flow through the filter, and not around it. This latest example only used two small pieces of tape, one top, one bottom. This left huge gaps on the side, and would allow air to flow around the filter, defeating it's twelve-dollar purpose.I ended up taping the rest of the filter paper to the plastic to ensure that it was at least up to the same level as the part it was replacing. I'm disappointed that I'm paying the same ridiculous price for something that doesn't even work.If LG thinks this newest iteration of their product works the same as the older versions, then I'm pretty sure the product didn't do anything in the first place. It's not. The filter is the same size as all the other LT120F filters. The box is 3.5 x 1.1 x 3.5 inches with a little 1 inch hang tab. A little miss-leading. Next time I will try one of the cheaper brands, but wasn't worth the hassle of returning this time. These LG filters are expensive.
