The release date for episode 6 was announced on Tuesday, June 15th, just over a week before the episode was due to air. Fans who have been keeping up with The Chosen’s release schedule will know that new episodes are only being released as and when they are ready so the short notice before the episode’s release should come as little surprise. For example, the release date for episode 5 was announced on May 18th, five days before its broadcast. Similar circumstances have occurred for episode 4’s release date, which was only announced two days before it came out, meanwhile, episodes 2 and 3 were released together as they were both finished at around the same time. That means that with the release of episode 5 on May 23rd, we’re now into the second half of season 2. It should come as little surprise that season 2 contains eight chapters as season 1 also featured eight episodes. As the release dates for new episodes are only being announced shortly before they’re broadcast, it’s unclear when the season 2 finale will arrive. Beyond season 2, there is plenty more planned for The Chosen as crowd-funding for season 3 is currently ongoing and there are plans in place for a total of seven seasons.
