Attack on Titan crashes Crunchyroll…

Before season 4 part 2 of Attack on Titan premiered on Sunday, January 9th, fans were acutely aware that there was going to be some server problems at Crunchyroll and Funimation.

As HITC noted in our release time article, previous episodes from Attack on Titan have crashed both platforms before due to the sheer number of users trying to access the new episode.

Whilst neither platform shares its official viewership statistics for simulcast titles, it was no surprise when both Funimation and Crunchyroll experienced several crashes for around 40-minutes following the premiere of episode 76 on January 9th.

Fans were quick to take to social media to share their frustrations at the server problems, especially towards the dreaded ‘A team of shinobi is working to bring your anime back’ error message displayed on Crunchyroll during this time.

Unfortunately, crashes are likely going to become a regular occurrence for Attack on Titan season 4 part 2, showcasing just how popular the anime remains with fans from around the world.
