Use Picture-in-picturePicture in Picture allows you to continue viewing your call while multitasking. While in a FaceTime call, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Your call will appear as a Picture-in-picture window in the corner of the screen. Note: You can select and drag the window as desired. To return to full screen, select the Picture-in-picture window.
Why is FaceTime unavailable on my iPhone?FaceTime may also show up unavailable for these reasons: The recipient's phone is turned off or set to Do Not Disturb. The recipient is on another FaceTime call or failed to answer your call after several rings. The recipient doesn't have the app enabled on their device.
How do I enable FaceTime in settings?On your iPhone home screen, select Settings, then scroll down and tap FaceTime. Make sure the switch is turned on. If you want to be able to take live photos during FaceTime calls, turn on the switch for FaceTime Live Photos.
Why is FaceTime not activating?If your iMessage or FaceTime apps are stuck on the "Waiting for activation" screen, you should try resetting them. Restarting your phone or resetting your Apple ID might fix the issue. It can take up to a day for the "Waiting for activation" message to disappear.
