Frigidaire affinity washer not filling with water

If your Front Load Washer Is not Getting any Water Check the Following

Water Inlet Valve
First check the hoses that connect to the water inlet valve. Remove these completely there should be a screen in at least one end and maybe both ends. Clean these screens. Next check the back of the water inlet valve screens and remove and clean. If cleaning these out does not correct the problem you will need to check to make sure you have power going to the water inlet valve. Most Front loaders will have 120 volts going to the valve but this does vary with manufacturers. Refer to the tech sheet or service manual for proper voltage. Check each solenoid on the valve. You will need to have the washer on and turned to a fill cycle when checking. If you have power and still no water replace the water inlet valve. No power replace the control.

Flow Meter
Some washer are equipped with a flow meter. The flow meter measures the amount of water passing through it. If this fails it may send the wrong or no signal to the control board resulting in slow to no water. The flow meter is easy to replace. Remove the top panel the flow meter is usually right inline with the water inlet valve.

I have a Frigidaire washing machine that at first would not dispense water during the rinse cycle.

I ignored that because it only happened on certain settings.

Now, the washer won't fill with water. I have done my research and I know about cleaning the screens at the intake valve. Water then travels up to the pressure switch.

I can hear the pressure switch click but have not tested it with a multimeter.

If it clicks does that automatically mean it is good and I don't need to test it?

I would think that it is not the intake valve because it only wouldn't fill on the rinse cycle before.

I have never done this before and before I check this one with a multimeter and order parts, I want to know that it will work if I do so I am not wasting time and energy and just end up frustrated. Thanks

Why isn't my washer filling up with water?

You could have a faulty lid or water level switch, or your hot and cold water supplies could be turned off or have kinks in the hoses. A clogged water inlet screen or a malfunctioning electronic control could also be the reason a washer isn't filling with water.

How do you reset a Frigidaire Affinity washer?

How to do this: Rotate the knob to any cycle. Then, press and hold the spin speed and soil level buttons (at the same time) until the display reads 'Restore default'.
