Renewing your membership online is as simple as signing in and heading to Renew Membership in your Costco.com Account. To keep things nice and easy, our members likewise have the option to Auto Renew using any Visa® credit card. Please keep in mind that active memberships can only be renewed within 90 days prior to the expiration date. If your membership is expired or inactive, you can renew online within 90 days after the date of expiration, or any time in person or by phone. Finally, if you need to shop at a Costco warehouse immediately, please know that the easiest way for you to do so is by simply renewing your membership at the register during checkout. You can purchase a ‘Gift of Membership’ at the register at your local Costco warehouse. Or, you can purchase it online. Your recipient will need to bring their Gift of Membership gift card to the membership counter at any Costco location. Their membership officially starts when it's redeemed. If the recipient is already an active Costco member, they can still use the Gift of Membership to upgrade to an Executive Membership or renew an existing membership. Answers to frequently asked questions about the Digital Membership Card are below: Through the Costco Mobile App, you can access a digital version of your membership card. Costco’s app will also allow you to renew your membership and view your 2% reward balance on your phone. Though Primary and Household members are on the same membership, each person has a unique membership number. Each member must have a separate Costco.com account to access a Digital Membership Card. Only Business members who also have an additional membership linked to the same account may see multiple membership cards on a single Digital Membership Card account. If your Household member would like to access their Digital Membership Card on their device, they will need to create their own Costco.com account with their unique membership number. (Note: if you are a Costco Anywhere Visa® credit card holder, taking a new photo will automatically issue you a new credit card. The credit card number will not change.) left of this page to update your information. HOW DO I TRANSFER MY DIGITAL MEMBERSHIP CARD ONTO A NEW PHONE?On your new phone, open your Costco App and tap the membership tab. You will be prompted to transfer your Digital Membership Card onto your new device. You can transfer your digital card to a new phone one time before you need to visit the Membership counter or contact us using the link on the left of this page to reset your digital card. Transfers include uninstalling and reinstalling the app, even on the same phone. Screenshot versions of the digital card cannot be scanned at Costco registers. How do I get my Costco cards?Please note, membership cards will NOT be mailed to you. You can obtain your new membership cards by visiting the membership counter of your local Costco.
What happens if I forgot my Costco card?Yes, you can still shop at Costco, even if you forgot your card. You'll have to visit the service counter and request a temporary card to use for shopping. Then, submit your ID and name, and they will look to your customer number as they confirm your membership status.
How long does it take to get my Costco card?Once you purchase a membership, a membership number will be emailed to you within 2 business days.
