I've ordered 3 sets of these taillights a from different places and not one is correct to the picture. I bought cause the picture shows 3157 flat push in style and they are not that style they are 1156 1157 round base style bulb. Normally tht would b fine but I've invested money in good quality led lights to upgrade my lighting/safety on my Jeep. Picture is incorrect if u want flat base style DO NOT BUY. if your stock and don't mind what style base u have then these taillights are amazing that's why I'm trying to find flat base style to fix my broken one.

In short, these look far superior than the stock lights on the Grand Cherokee. However, for the price (Just shy of $200) the quality on these is pretty low. So low in fact, that one light arrived damaged (Broken piece of clear plastic on the corner; however I glued it back on and it looks okay). The housing is very thin plastic, and the clear lens is so fragile that even a small bump will likely crack it. Quality issue aside, the looks far outweigh the build quality.

Item arrived with no instructions, and 2 yellow turn signal bulbs (So, you'll have to use bulbs from original units). The LED's are a nice touch, but why they don't come pre-wired is pretty silly. LED wiring I did:

1). You'll see two black wires and two white wires on each unit. Splice the white with white and black with white turning 4 wires into two.
2). You're going to need to cut into the wires on the wiring harness. Locate the wires coming out of the brake light bulb. You'll see a black wire, and green wire (Black is ground wire, green is tail lights). With wire strippers, peel back about 1/4" of wiring on each.
3). Using a soldering gun (Hopefully you have one) you're going to need to solder the white wire with the green wire, and the black with the black. Once soldered, check that the lights work. Once confirmed, wrap the exposed connection with electrical tape.
4). Done! The LED's will now be on with your courtesy lights. Should take around 15 minutes total.

Overall, the lights look great on my Jeep. However, the build quality, wiring requirement for LED's, and high price barely nudge this product to 4 stars. I'd given it closer to 3.5 stars if possible.

I had the stock Jeep tail lights which had some kind of short-circuit that kept them from functioning properly. They were always functioning intermittently. I looked at several versions of tail lights and these were the best looking. Many of the other brands had too much bling and looked tacky.

These are reasonably priced and extremely easy to install. The only issue was deciding whether to tie the 2 LEDs on the side to the brakes or to the turn signal. Eventually, I went with the turn signal because it seemed more useful. However, these LEDs are *RED* and the turn signal is amber. I checked the US DOT and the TX DOT sites and they both say you can use red or amber for turn signals, so it seems to be okay. I would have preferred it if the LEDs were amber like the amber turn signal.

There were no instructions what-so-ever; not even on the manufacturer's site. It wasn't hard to figure out how to splice in the LED lights but I can see how some people would have concerns about it.

This light has two bulbs in the "white" section, one for a white reverse bulb and one for an amber turn signal bulb. The stock Jeep uses an amber panel with a white light on the turn signal so all the current lights on your vehicle are white/clear. The vendor includes two amber bulbs but you have to transfer your existing white bulbs for the rest of the installation. Also, I didn't find the included amber bulbs until I was throwing out the box. They were just free floating in the big shipping box and got wedged down in a corner, covered up by the packing materials.

Quality is "okay". Not as well constructed as the factory lights but they'll probably serve their purpose. All in all, it's a good product and I'd recommend it.

These lights are great! I have no experience with with replacing an entire light housing like this but everything went in fine. Took me 45 minutes, tops. My only complaint is that it didn't, at least, come with instructions for the LED portion of the lights. I own a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The stock lights don't have the two LED lights on each housing that these do and while these lights have some of the wiring for the LED lights that it includes, there are no instructions on how to incorporate that factor in. Right now i just have the essential brake, turn signal, and reverse lights connected. All in all these lights give my Jeep a great look and a great boost over what the stock lights were. I just wish there was a little more instruction on how to connect things that obviously didn't come stock. Definitely worth the time and money though...even if I can't take full advantage of what they can do at the moment.

Pros:
-nicely match my desired look
-unique euro styling
-nice bright backup and turn lights, even with the smoke color
-easy plug and go connection (LED's require some wiring but are easy to just splice into the taillights wiring)
-even for LED's don't have to splice into your actual vehicle wiring (meaning less likely to damage something expensive)
Cons:
-Mine arrived with the corner plastic broken, I ended up just sealing it off with some silicone RTV, as the location of the break didn't really take away from the look.
Would like it if the tail/ brake light was a little brighter
-only two of the side marker LED's are stuffed (but knew that going into it)

Overall:
Great value, good taillight housing for a unique look, would definitely recommend these to others. Had to take a star off for the broken lens piece.

I have had the same problem a lot of people have with the tail lights and break lights not working properly on my 04' Jeep Grand Cherokee Columbia Edition. Some times my passenger light would work if I hit it,lightly, one morning I was a little fed up with trying to fix the problem and hit it a little too hard. I was looking into getting an original tail light when I came across these. They look great and fit just perfect. They have two LED lights in them on the side that can be wired up if you wish and that's a great little bonus feature. The ones I ordered came with the bulbs for the turn signal and that was a plus as well. Even w/o the LED lights and the bulbs included this was still a great purchase, the price was very good too, almost $50.00 less than where I first seen them. I would recommend this product to anyone.
