2022 jeep cherokee start stop battery location

While the GRAND Cherokee has 2 batteries (one for starting, one for ESS), the regular/plain Cherokee (Latitude, Limited, whatever) DOES NOT have 2 batteries. It has only one main battery under the hood. And it must be an AGM batter. If it's not an AGM battery, you are definitely gonna have problems.

The battery in a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee is located underneath the driver's seat. You can get to it by sliding the seat forward and lifting up the floor mat. You can jumpstart your Jeep by connecting the jumper cables to the terminals on the battery itself.

The auxiliary battery in a 2019 Jeep Cherokee is located underneath the front passenger seat, right next to the main battery. You can reach them both by moving the seat forward and pulling up the floor mat. Before removing the auxiliary battery, make sure it and the main battery are disconnected.
