Peter is dealing with the consequences of his identity being public and navigating his romance with MJ and turns to Doctor Strange for help. However, he soon finds himself facing threats from multiple universes. Ned is present and still acting as a friend and confidant to Peter. However, Peter’s antics could mean Ned forgets his friend’s Spidey secret. Coach Wilson was reluctantly moderating detention for several students at Peter's high school, which mainly involved playing an outdated tape featuring then-war criminal Steve Rogers. What is happening here? Coach Wilson is another member of the faculty to discover Peter's shocking secret. Benedict Wong as WongBenedict Wong as Wong YouTube/MarvelAppears in: Doctor Strange, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Where did we see him last? Wong was last seen singing karaoke with Shang-Chi and Katy Chen after introducing them to Captain Marvel and Bruce Banner in a discussion about the Ten Rings. What is happening here? Wong is seen leaving the New York Sanctum with his bag packed in the first trailer and warns Doctor Strange to not cast a spell to help Peter. Of course, Strange does not appear to listen. Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus/Doctor Otto OctaviusAlfred Molina as Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man: No Way Home Sony Pictures EntertainmentAppears in: Spider-Man 2 Where did we see him last? Doctor Octopus was last seen appearing to drown at the end of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2 after he sought redemption through destroying his dangerous Icarus technology. What is happening here? Doctor Octopus appears to have been brought from the Sam Raimi universe of Spider-Man films and interacts heavily with Peter, MJ and Ned. He also appears to fight Peter on a bridge. Jamie Foxx as Electro/Max DillonJamie Foxx as Electro in Spider-Man: No Way Home YouTube/MarvelAppears in: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Where did we see him last? Dillon was last seen battling Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man before he was overloaded with electricity and killed. What is happening here? Dillon is back and battling Holland’s Spider-Man but sporting a new look that is more in keeping with the comic book character (basically, no more blue). Dillon appears to have come through a portal from another realm in the multiverse. Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin/Norman OsbornSony PicturesAppears in: Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, and Spider-Man 3 Where did we see him last? Norman Osborn was accidentally killed by his own glider during the climactic fight with Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker in the first Spider-Man film. He subsequently haunted son Harry Osborn (James Franco) as a hallucination in Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3. What is happening here? Willem Dafoe is back as Norman Osborn in the new film as one of the various villains to enter the MCU from the Multiverse. He is seen both in and out of his costume in the film. The Goblin appears to have come through a portal from the Sam Raimi universe of Spider films. Flash was seen returning to the US from Europe with his classmates and his unhappy home life was hinted at with his father being unwell and his mother being uncaring. What is happening here? It is unknown how much of a role Flash will play but his reaction to Peter being his hero Spider-Man will no doubt be interesting to see. J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah JamesonJK Simmons as J Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man: No Way Home YouTube/MarvelAppears in: Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3, Spider-Man: Far From Home Where did we see him last? A Marvel Cinematic Universe iteration of J. Jonah Jameson was last seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home exposing Peter Parker’s double identity as Spider-Man to the world. This is a different iteration to Simmons’ last turn as the character in the Sam Raimi trilogy. What is happening here? We don’t know what Jameson will be up to here but he is spotted on a street in the second trailer. Angourie Rice as Betty BrantAngourie Rice in Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) SEACAppears in: Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home Where did we see her last? Betty was last seen returning from Peter’s class trip to Europe and her whirlwind romance with Ned Leeds came to an end but they remained friends. What is happening here? It is unknown how much of a role Betty will play but no doubt her reaction to Peter’s double-life will be shown. Thomas Haden Church as Sandman/Flint MarkoSandman returns in Spider-Man No Way Home YouTube/MarvelAppears in: Spider-Man 3 Where did we see him last? Marko was last seen departing in a cloud of sand at the end of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 as Tobey Maguire’s Peter forgave him for being the one to accidentally kill Uncle Ben Parker. What is happening here? It seems that Sandman is another villain being faced by Spidey as he appears in a huge clash in the second trailer. It is unknown how much of a role Sandman will have in the film. Rhys Ifans as Lizard/Doctor Curt ConnorsLizard is back in Spider-Man: No Way Home YouTube/MarvelAppears in: The Amazing Spider-Man Where did we see him last? At the conclusion of The Amazing Spider-Man, Connors was imprisoned after killing Captain George Stacy and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man delivered him an antidote cloud that reversed the serum that caused his Lizard transformation. He was last seen in custody as he was visited by a mysterious figure asking if Peter knew about his father, Richard Parker. What is happening here? Lizard appears to have journeyed from the Marc Webb universe of Spider-Man films and is clashing with Holland’s Spidey here. **Spoiler warning for surprise appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home** Spider-Man: No Way Home spoilers - character appearancesTobey Maguire plays Peter Parker / Spider-ManHutton Supancic/Getty Images for SXSWAppears in: Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3 Where did we see him last? The last time we saw this version of Peter Parker, he had just bid a tearful farewell to his best friend-turned-nemesis Harry Osborn, who sought to avenge his father by taking on the moniker of New Goblin. On the bright side, he had also defeated alien symbiote Venom, reconciled with misunderstood villain Sandman, and got back together with the love of his life, Mary-Jane Watson. What is happening here? This Spider-Man finds himself suddenly in a whole new reality. Andrew Garfield plays Peter Parker / Spider-ManAmanda Edwards/Getty ImagesAppears in: The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Where did we see him last? The last time we saw this incarnation of Spider-Man, he was at his lowest point after failing to save the great love of his life, Gwen Stacy, from an attack by the Green Goblin. He feels responsible for her death and that shakes him to his core, causing him to take a break from his crime-fighting duties – but he eventually puts the mask back on as he knows that's what she would have wanted. What is happening here? This Spider-Man also finds himself suddenly in a whole new reality. Charlie Cox plays Matt Murdock / DaredevilCharlie Cox in Netflix's Daredevil NetflixAppears in: Daredevil seasons 1-3, The Defenders Where did we see him last? The last time we saw Matt Murdock, he had just triumphed against ruthless crime lord Kingpin for the second time. He celebrated with good friends Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, with whom he runs a legal practise that specialises in representing the less fortunate. What is happening here? Matt Murdock is drafted in to help Peter when he is threatened with criminal charges. Tom Hardy plays Venom/Eddie BrockSonyAppears in: Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage Where did we see him last? The end of Venom: Let There Be Carnage saw Eddie transported to a hotel room in another universe where he watched the conclusion of Spider-Man: No Way Home as Peter Parker was unmasked as Spider-Man. Who is the new superhero in Far From Home?Jake Gyllenhaal as Quentin Beck / Mysterio: A former Stark Industries employee and holographic-illusions specialist who masquerades as a superhero from Earth-833 in the multiverse. He is recruited by Nick Fury to help Spider-Man stop the Elementals.
Will there be a 4th SpiderThe duality will be even tougher to manage now that he doesn't have anybody to lean on, but it will make for an interesting story and a unique way to bring the hero back into the fold for another solo adventure. Spider-Man 4 is currently in the early stages of development under Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures.
What movie is Nick Fury a Skrull?One of the biggest indicators that there may be more to Nick Fury's identity than initially thought is the post-credit scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home, where it is revealed that the Fury and Maria Hill depicted throughout the film were actually Skrull imposters who reported to the real Fury all along.
Are there 3 SpiderOn the official Spider-Man: No Way Home Twitter page, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures officially unveiled a new poster that features all three Spider-Men in one artistic frame. The piece of art features Peters 1, 2, and 3 all fighting the five Multiverse villains.
