To get a North Carolina learner permit, an individual must be at least 18 years old and apply in person at an N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles
driver license office. (Individuals at least 18 years old may also apply for a driver license.)
Qualified applicants must successfully complete required knowledge, road sign recognition, vision and driving tests and take the following required documents to an NCDMV driver license office.
Note: NCDMV also offers an N.C. REAL ID driver license, which requires
additional information and requirements. Note: Applying

Are Social Security offices open for walk ins?Social Security Administration to Resume In-Person Services at Local Social Security Offices. I am pleased to announce that local Social Security offices will restore in-person services, including for people without an appointment, on April 7, 2022.

Wait times to speak to a representative are typically shorter early in the day (between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. local time) or later in the afternoon (between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time).
