Where I live the honda dealer in Niagara falls cannot service my car but the one in Welland still has one old style hoist left and they can lift it no problem. 11-08-2005Registered!! iTrader: (15)

Just go to Costco like I do.. $21.99 for an oil change of 5W20. Save yourself the hassle of Honda... save yourself $10+ tax and disposal fee... and go to Costco or something. Honda.. what a rip-off. :::::: Let's see if I know the ledge Hey! Look At Me!! I'm a Supporting Member!! iTrader: (6)

Does car need to be lifted for oil change?4 Steps of Changing Your Oil by Yourself. The first step to changing your oil is to lift the vehicle so that you can move underneath it. Because you will be working underneath a heavy vehicle, changing your oil on your own can be a dangerous task.
Is it cheaper to change your own oil or take it to the shop?On a cost basis, if you own one of the more popular mainstream vehicles and usually get two or three oil changes done annually, you're likely to save less than $20 each on average between the costs of having this service done at an independent shop or oil change chain and doing it yourself.
Will high mileage oil hurt a new car?Using a high-mileage oil in a new vehicle would be ill-advised, since no manufacturer recommends this type of oil for a new vehicle. Would it harm your engine? Most likely not, but it would be better to adhere to what is specified in the owner's manual, at least until the warranty has expired.
Can I change oil every 2 years?Simply put, as a general rule, manufacturers recommend that you change the oil for a gasoline engine every 10,000 to 15,000 km, or about once a year for “regular” usage (frequent but not intensive) or once every 2 years if used less frequently.
