For years I thought power steering on a lawn tractor was a frivolous option. But now, facing purchasing a new lawn tractor, my wife who loves to mow wants power steering. After looking at the JD website, it seems the smallest (cheapest) tractor is the 534. Is there anything else I should know, like some secret option list or dealer-installed option? I hate to have to spend over $7000 for

If you're not afraid of used, the JD 425, 445, and 455 have the features you want, have most of the power of the current 7xx series, and work with most current implements. find yourself one of the latest 300-series. They (except for the bottom model) had power steering and hydraulic lift. You dont realize how much you appreciate power steering until you throw a blower on the front.
