As much as we all love applying makeup, removing every trace of it, by the end of the day is equally important. You would agree with me when I say that there are days when we are so dead tired that we don’t want to go over multiple products to cleanse our face and want a single product which should do the job. The product I am going to review today claims to be one such product. Let us see if it does fulfill all the claims or not.

My Experience with Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Foam Cleanser/Purifying Mask:

Firstly, let me start with my skin type as I feel any skin care review is not fully justified till you know what type of skin it is tested on. I have dry skin which turns dry-combination in summers, but it is super sensitive and prone to react with anything and everything. 😛

I thought of trying out products from the “Perfectly Clean” range, but after Arps’ just above average rating of Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Creme Cleanser/Purifying Mask, I wasn’t in a mood to spend my hubby’s hard earned money on it. 😛 Thankfully, I got this trial version/travel size tube with my recent Estee Lauder purchase and hence I could try it out myself.

The cleanser comes in a simple light blue pearlescent tube packing with a flip-top cap. Since mine is a travel-sized tube, it comes with a screw top which is perfect for tossing in your bag.

The cleanser is pearly white in color, velvety soft and very thick in consistency. However, only a pea-sized amount is required per use and it does foam well. It does provide dense, rich foam with just a small amount of product, so a little goes a long way. Cleanser can be either rinsed off or wiped off with a tissue, though I have tried both ways, I prefer rinsing off anytime. The cleanser has a lovely floral fragrance which I don’t mind, but it might be a hiccup for some people.

It does clean up my skin without making it too dry or stretchy, but falls short of its claims of removing the makeup. I could almost always find residue on the cotton pad while toning and that is when I use just sunscreen on a daily basis. So, for removing makeup with this, we would have to go over a couple of times which is definitely not recommended. Hence, I prefer using it in the morning and it is perfect for that. 🙂 It doesn’t dry out my skin, but moisturizer is anyway a must for me.

I have used it as a purifying mask as well. Applied it all over the face and kept it for a couple of minutes before rinsing off. That way, my skin did feel much cleaner and did not feel stretchy at all. But other than that, it did not bring any “glow” on my face!!! 🙁

Although marketed as a product suitable for all skin types, I feel this cleanser would suit normal/combination skinned girls the most as it might dry out very dry skinned beauties and will not give effective cleansing to the oily skinned ones.

• Doesn’t make my skin dry or stretchy.
• Can be used as mask to clean up the skin.

• Ophthalmologist tested.
• Can be rinsed off or wiped off with a tissue.

Cons of Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Foam Cleanser/Purifying Mask:

• Estee Lauder does test on animals 🙁
• Stings badly if the cleanser gets into the eyes.
• Does not remove even light makeup effectively.
• Leaves residue behind.
• Fragrance might be too strong for some.

Would I Repurchase Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Foam Cleanser/Purifying Mask?

Umm, I don’t think I would be repurchasing (or I should say purchasing) it. Though it is good as a morning cleanser but not effective as a makeup remover/cleanser. I would recommend it to normal/combination skinned beauties, but it would be great if you could grab a sample size before taking the plunge and buying out the full sized version.
