How to Screen Record Mac with Internal Audio?

Step 1: Download and install Soundflower on your Mac.

Step 2: Open Audio MIDI Setup. You can find it through the Search bar (Command + Space).

Step 3: Click the “Plus Button” at the bottom left corner > “Create Multi-Output Device” > Choose “Build-In Output” and “Soundflower” at the same time.

Note:

Build-In Output has to be set as the Master Device. Otherwise, you can’t hear any sound while recording. 

You can double click the “Multi-Output Device” icon to rename it. Here you see it is “Screen Record w/Audio”

Step 4: Go to “System Preference” > “Sound” > “Output” > Change your “Output” to the newly created “Multi-Output Device”. (Here you see the renamed one “Screen Record w/Audio”)

Step 5: Start recording.

Press “Shift + Command + 5” > “Record the Entire Screen” or “Record Selected Portion” > “Options” > “Microphone” > “Soundflower” > “Record”.

How to Screen Record on Mac with Internal Audio and Mic?

Step 7: Press “ Shift + Command + 5” > “Options” > “Microphone” > “Soundflower Input” > “Record”

How to Record Your Mac Screen Using Screenshot Toolbar? 

By doing so, you can record both the microphone and the internal audio.

Step 1: Press “Shift + Command + 5” to open the Screenshot Toolbar.

Step 2: Choose “Record Entire Screen” or “Record Selected Portion”.

Next to the Screenshot icon, you will find icons for recording your screen. Based on your needs, you choose either to “Record Entire Screen” (on the left) or to “Record Selected Portion” (on the right).

• If you click the left button “Record Entire Screen”, no need to adjust anything. 
• If you click the right button “Record Selected Portion”, you can choose which area to be recorded and change the area size. 

Step 3: Click “Options” to preset your recording. 

From a wide range of selections, you can decide where to save the recording, how many seconds to start after clicking “Record”, whether to use a microphone or not and more options such as “Show Mouse Clicks”.

Step 4: Click “Record” to Start Recording.

Step 5: Click the stop button in the menu bar in the upper right corner of your computer to finish recording.

After clicking stop, the thumbnail of your video will appear at the bottom right. You can swipe right to save it or open it to trim and share. 

How to Record Your Screen on Mac Using QuickTime Player

Step 1: Open QuickTime Player on your Mac.

There are two ways for you to find QuickTime Player on your Mac.

• Find it through the Application folder, then double click to open it.
• Find it through the search bar, then tap “QuickTime Player” into the search bar to get it. 

To open the search bar, click the magnifying glass icon in the menu bar in the upper right corner or press “Command + Space” on your keyboard.

Step 2: Check the menu bar in the upper left corner to open “File” > “New Screen Recording”, then a screen recording window will pop up to help you with how to record your screen in computer.

Step 3: Click the red button in the screen recording window to start recording. 

Before recording, you can click the arrow next to the red button to preset your recording.

• If you want mouse clicks to be shown in the recording, then choose “Show Mouse Clicks in Recording”.

Step 4: Choose to record the whole screen or part of the screen.

• Record the whole screen: click anywhere to start.
• Record part of the screen: drag to record the area and adjust the size, then click within the area to start
