A lot of doorbells are about 4 feet (or 1.2 meters) high. So, hold the Nest Hello’s wall plate against the wall to make a mark for where the power adapter’s wires will come through. The hole should be in the middle of the main hole in the wall plate and in the bottom half.

It’s important to turn off the power to your home’s breaker box, especially in the places where you plan to plug the Nest Hello in. Your home’s indoor plumbing and electrical wiring should also be known. The building codes where you live should have this information, and this will make it safe to put the Nest Hello in your house, so you can do it.
