How to delete something permanently from your computer

Right-click on the Recycle Bin and choose "Properties". Select the drive for which you want to delete the data permanently. Check the option "Don't move files to the Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when deleted." Then, click "Apply" and "OK" to save the settings.

Whenever you delete a file in your computer and empty your Recycle Bin, your data is not entirely wiped out from your computer. Although you can no longer see the file in the location it once was and your operating system no longer has it, a copy of it still exists on your hard drive.

If you want to permanently delete a file rather than leaving it in the Recycle Bin, highlight it in Windows Explorer, and then hold down the Shift key at the same time as hitting the Delete key. You'll be asked to confirm that you want to permanently delete the file.

When you delete files from the recycle Bin or permanently delete them using the Shift + Delete command, the file name entry is removed from the Recycle Bin folder. The part of the disk where the file was located initially is then modified or overwritten but still contains the file data.
