Harry potter and the philosophers stone audiobook spotify

Spotify and Wizarding World have joined forces to bring Harry Potter to headphones. The Harry Potter at Home series is a collection of weekly audio recordings of the much-loved novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

In true Hollywood fashion, Harry Potter at Home will host a star-studded line-up of some of the biggest names in entertainment and the Wizarding World.

Daniel Radcliffe, Stephen Fry, David Beckham and Dakota Fanning are among a handful of celebrities who have lent their voices to the series. Each week, the stars will narrate parts of this iconic book aiming to surprise and delight fans and families around the world.

Motivations to create the series are fairly apparent given the current times, and it arrives just in the nick of time as family-themed content grows by 19% between April 27th – May 3rd according to the latest figures from Podtrac.

Starting from 5th May, the audio chapters will be available exclusively on Spotify, Spotify Kids and harrypotterathome.com for both free and Premium users. All 17 chapters of the book will be released by the middle of the summer.

On May 5, Spotify released Harry Potter at home readings: an audiobook of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.” Unlike previous audiobooks of this novel, celebrities such as David Beckham, Dakota Fanning, and even Daniel Radcliff are the voices of this new audiobook.

Each chapter of the audiobook has a new celebrity voice, with the first chapter being voiced by Daniel Radcliff, who played Harry Potter in the movie adaptation of the “Philosopher’s Stone.” Eddie Redmayne, who voiced a chapter 3 of the audiobook, is also a star in the Harry Potter movie franchise, playing Newt Scamander in the movie “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” a spinoff of the original Harry Potter movies.

Spotify launched this new audiobook as a free initiative, designed to help deliver the classic novel in a new way to families and children in lockdown due to coronavirus. 

“I think it’s a great way to provide some entertainment to fans of Harry Potter, and it’s really enjoyable to hear celebrities I love read one of my favorite books,” senior Amanda Brotton said.

Spotify is currently releasing two chapters per week and plans to have all 17 chapters released by the middle of summer 2020. 

The Wizarding World website is releasing video recordings of each chapter reading, as part of their Harry Potter at Home initiative, created to provide entertainment to fans during quarantine. 

This new audiobook is available on Spotify, and both free and Premium users can access it. The new Spotify Kids app will release the audiobook as well, and the new app is available to Premium Family members in select markets.

Unfortunately it seems the content has been removed from the Spotify Platform. This can happen for a variety of reasons, there’s more info over on the Spotify Support site. A few of the specific screenshots and links show that some of this content has been posted by individuals and they most likely don’t have the appropriate licensing to be sharing this content therefore it’s been removed in line with Spotify’s policy on Copyright.

Unfortunately there’s no further information that is available right now on this.

Yeah same! I was in the middle of book 3. when I opened Spotify again there was some kind of error massage and the audiobooks + the podcast they were part of were all gone! I really want to know what happened..

I’m in Australia and have only just started listening to the Philosopher’s Stone on Spotify. I was also quite upset this morning when I went to continue listening and found they had all disappeared.. the playlists are still on Spotify but they are all empty. I would love it if they were able to return!!

The same thing happened to me, I was on the order of the phoenix. Did anyone catch the name of the lady that read the books, cat in the background, and random knocks occasionally? I got used to hearing her read and don't want to switch. 

I think that they took it off because of copywrite issues... at least from what I have read on here. I could only find one other person reading them, https://open.spotify.com/episode/0biq1SKSR8moKaFojeQmzS

it is for sure not as good as Samantha was, but still is the book being read. 

I have the same problem with Warhammeer 40k The horus heresy Thounsend Sons Part 13. Only the first 5 titles can be played from almost 400 and only a few of the others are grayed out. is the same with many other audio books. @Spotify Please fix
