Some recipes can bring me back to my childhood in an instant.

My mom didn’t make a lot of slow cooker meals, but when she did dig out the Crock Pot, we knew we were in for a treat.

Her boneless ribs in the Crock Pot were easy to prep, and slow cooking them throughout the day left the house smelling amazing.

Knowing our plates would be piled high with meaty, BBQ goodness made my mouth water and always ensured I’d be home in time for dinner.

Mom liked to serve these ribs with egg noodles or rice, and there was always a healthy portion of green beans on the side.

I’ve made Instant Pot country style ribs for years but wanted to get back to my roots with a crock pot version that my mom would approve of.

When I serve my family BBQ country style ribs over a pile of egg noodles, I feel like I am sharing a part of my food history with them.

Fork Tender Slow Cooker Country Style Ribs

Normally when I cook meat, I prefer boneless cuts because they’re just so easy. I know many people prefer bone-in cuts, though.

For this recipe, I think boneless pork ribs in the crock pot are the way to go!

It’s easy to scoop the fork-tender BBQ country style ribs onto noodles or rice, and not having to deal with bones is a definite advantage.

I also love how easy it is to change up the flavor of this recipe by using different brands of BBQ sauce. If we’re craving something spicy, I choose a zestier sauce. If I’ve got a picky eater, I choose something sweet and mild.

5 stars plus - Just delicious. Loaded with flavor and moist fall off the bone ribs.. I did not have any chili sauce at home so I used 1/4 cup Asian sweet Chili sauce & 1/4 cup BBQ sauce then cut back on the sugar to 1 tbsp. I made the whole recipe and will freeze half . A definate do again recipe. I did not pre brown the meat- I cut all the fat away before cooking. Cooking time 6 hours on low. I added a tablespoon of cornstarch 1 hour before serving as the sauce was quite thin. As said Delicious!

These were very tasty. They were very tender. Since there's only the 2 of us, I frozen the remaining ribs. Tonight, I thawed them out, put them in my dutch oven and baked @ 350. They were just as good tonight as when I first prepared them. I'll make these again and will also try them as you suggested with chicken.

If you boil ribs first, the terrorist WIN! That said these ribs are excellent. I used a combo of sweet chili sauce and My Bar-B-Que sauce in lieu of regular chili sauce. 4/12 hrs on low was perfect for my 6 qt crock pot. I have always struggled with country style boneless shoulder ribs (Boston Butt) but not any longer.

I wanted to love this, but was too tart (maybe vinegar & lemon) and after 4 hours my small boneless ribs did not melt in my mouth - took a bit of sturdy chewing. I did not have chili sauce, but used our favorite honey BBQ and ketchup as other suggested...other wise no deviations.

I loved this! It was easy and quick to prepare and used things I already had in my pantry. (If you don't have chili sauce, then use tomato sauce, ketchup, BBQ sauce, or something like that.) This was tasty, and the meat was moist and falling apart. I browned it in oil, was overly generous with the onions an pepper (I love onions and pepper) and it turned out great. I think you could be quite sloppy in your measurements and it would still be a great recipe. It's a keeper!

I was hoping it would be better. I used boneless pork ribs (southern style butt). I also used red pepper, carrot and ketchup instead of chili sauce. I should have boiled the meat as you suggested as I got too much grease. I served with white rice and green veg. BF loved it.
