All of our Georgia Insurance Continuing Education courses are delivered in electronic format and can be viewed and completed on any mobile device. This includes chapter quizzes and final exams which are scored immediately upon completion. Each chapter is followed by a short chapter quiz which must be passed with a score of 70% or better in order to proceed to the next chapter. Upon completion of all chapter quizzes, you will be presented with the Final Exam which requires a passing grade of 70%. All quizzes and the Final Exam can be taken as many times as necessary until you pass. You have up to one year from the course purchase date to complete your courses.State regulations require each Final Exam to be monitored by a Disinterested 3rd Party. A Disinterested 3rd Party is an individual over the age of 18 who is not: a family member, relative or dependent, employer or supervisor, employee or subordinate, partner or joint venture co-owner, or for anyone in whom the Monitor has an economic or other interest in assuring the successful outcome of the examination. Co-worker monitors must not be above or below in the student’s line of supervision. Prior to the scoring of each Final Exam The Disinterested 3rd Party will be required to sign in by typing his or her name in the fields provided. Upon successful passage of each Final Exam your credit hours earned will be reported directly to your State regulator. The date and time of completion of your course is based on the specific time zone in which you completed the course. Successfully completing a course will earn you a Certificate of Completion. Certificates of completion are immediately available on the My Courses page. Simply locate the completed final exam and click on the certificate icon found near the right side of the page. Each licensee must complete a 4-hour course specific to their license type. When two or more licenses are held, the licensee must complete a 4-hour course specific to at least one license type held.
Which persons are exempt from the continuing education requirement in Florida?Any active member who is in good standing with the Florida Bar is exempt from the 14-hour continuing education requirement. To receive this exemption, the licensees will need to either have a copy of their Bar card or the Bar card membership number provided to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
How many continuing education hours do you need to be an insurance agent in Florida?Insurance agents and adjusters who have been licensed less than 6 years are required to complete 24 total hours every 2 years. After being licensed for 6 years, the CE requirement reduces to 20 total hours every 2 years. Title, customer representative, and industrial fire agents must complete 10 hours every 2 years.
