Kayley is a 5 month old Tri color rough collie girl.

She is very sweet and loves people. She is doing very well on her potty training although she can get distracted easily while outside pottying so we watch and praise.

There is so much to look at and see outside for this girl that she's a bit excitable about anything that moves. So for that reason a privacy fence might be best for her. Too many people, cars or dogs going by her fence would make for a lot of barking and overexcitement.

She knows sit, down, shake paw. She is one smart girl and will work for treats. She is good in her crate and in the car. She can fly up steps and we are working on leash training.

If you like to spend time with your dog training or doing some type of dog sport she may just be your girl. She's on the small side for now but we have no way of knowing how big she will get. Possible 50 lbs?

Well, hubba bubba! This is one beautiful boy! Bubba isn’t just handsome; he’s a good natured, loving companion. He is a six-year-old neutered male that enjoys yard time, other dogs, walks, toys, and bones. Two of his favorite things are his special blanket and dinner. Bubba has so much going for him.

He is house broken and does not need to be crated. He is good with bathing, grooming, and brushing. He even does well in the car. Bubba arrived at CRGI with a sensitivity to loud noises. His foster home has been working with him. They’ve been exposing him to loud sounds to help him learn that he doesn’t have to be afraid. He’s doing better now and is great with typical loud sounds, but he is still a bit sensitive to thunderstorms.

Lucy is a sweet senior who came to us after being found as a stray. Like most older dogs, she has some physical challenges, but she is able to work through them during her daily routine. Lucy is mostly deaf, but she navigates her world using her bark to let people know when she’s there or if they are in her space, and she responds to her foster mom‘s hand commands and gestures. She knows what to do when she sees a leash, and when her foster mom points to the crate, she knows to go in. A fenced yard is required for Lucy in order to keep her safe, particularly when she runs off after squirrels.

Lucy is the perfect companion dog for a home that likes to go at a slower pace. She enjoys going on walks and car rides, and prefers more leisurely activities, as she does have arthritis. Stairs are a challenge on the way up, but she is able to go down.

Lucy loves attention, and she will paw or mouth you to make sure you know she is interested. She greets strangers with a wagging tail, and she is also good with just about everyone she meets. She is great with teenagers, but younger children might be too high energy for Lucy. She gets along with the resident dogs, but she hasn’t been around any other types of pets.

While Lucy is beyond her playful puppy days, she still has so much love to give.

Piper spent several months of her life trying to fit into a busy household, but was overwhelmed by rowdy kids and too much activity going on around her. Since living in her foster home, we've learned that she is very sweet and does quite well in a calm environment with people who are patient with her.

In her foster home, Piper is learning how to navigate new sounds and people. She is a bit vocal both inside and outside when she hears a noise or a person at the door. She will bark at first when meeting someone, but her foster mom thinks that it is more excitement than being scared. She has met her foster mom's dog savvy calm grandkids, and was good around them. Piper gets along well with the two resident dogs, but playing with other dogs is new territory for this sweet girl. She hops and barks around them in an attempt to get in on the fun. In addition to dogs, she lives with cats and bunnies. She is curious about them, and will chase them, but she isn't aggressive.

Blaze is a six-year-old velcro dog looking for a companion to hang out with. When you first meet Blaze, you will be drawn in by his enthusiasm. He loves to be petted and is always nearby with an excited face and wagging tail. He will follow you around while you go about daily chores and poke his little nose in wherever he can and think that he is helping. Blaze is good with other dogs, but he really loves people and getting attention from them.

Blaze has a lot of energy and likes to be kept busy. He enjoys playing with puzzle boards and chew toys with treats inside. Blaze enjoys going on walks and is really well behaved. He doesn’t seem to have any issues with the people, bicycles, other dogs, or bunnies he encounters while out on an adventure. Blaze loves being brushed. He will push the resident dogs out of the way to make sure he gets brushed first, and they gladly let him.

At seven-years-old, Chance has had the opportunity to learn what he enjoys in life, and he has found he is a fresh air and sunshine kind of guy. No problem, Chance is always ready to enjoy his leisurely strolls around the neighborhood.

  Chance is a sweet and gentle dog. He is not an in your face kind of a guy, but rather a bit reserved. He’s starting to come out of his shell a little bit each day and has begun to enjoy getting attention. He will often give his foster mom his back and wait for butt scratches, and we’re told he likes to lean in when he is getting attention, kind of like a collie hug.

Aladdin is a sweet and happy 5 months old boy. In general, he loves his people and enjoys cuddles and all the attention he can get. He sometimes takes a little longer getting to know new people before he's comfortable. Once he earns your trust, he’s your buddy! He’s been learning new things and sounds at his foster home. At times, he can be a bit scared of them but quickly adapts to them.

Aladdin is a typical young puppy that will need a lot of patience, guidance and training. He has never been on a leash but his foster mom reports that he’s getting used to it and doing better. Aladdin responds well to lots of praise and training treats. He is also learning how to play fetch with some toys.

Banks is a year-and-a-half old mahogany rough collie. He’s a big guy with a big personality! He loves people and other dogs, and he loves to play. He plays very nicely with toys with the other dogs in the house, with his foster parents, or by himself. He also enjoys playing chase and light romping with the other dogs, but he’s great about understanding boundaries when the other dogs are ready for a break.

Banks is a pretty fearless, resilient pup. He settled in quickly when he arrived at his foster home. He does well in the car and will jump right in to go for a ride. He’s not bothered by fireworks or thunder, but he’s not a fan of the vacuum. He knows how to sit, lie down, and how to give his paw, and he does well with being brushed.

Prince's foster home fell in love with him. They will be adopting him,

Prince is a 5 month old, sable and white Collie. Prince lives up to his name and is very “charming.” He is nervous and shy when he first meets new people and in new situations but gets over his shyness quickly and becomes your best friend. He is sweet and affectionate. Loves to cuddle and belly rubs. 
He didn’t react at all during the fireworks. The storms made him a little nervous early on then settled down once he realized his foster mom was calm.

Prince has learned how to play with toys and loves stuffed toys, chew toys and balls.  Basically, every toy he can get out of the toy basket.  Now we need to teach him to put them back! He does a great job of playing by himself with his toys and plays with his foster mom. He also loves to chase the water coming out of the hose!
