Moon Palace Cancun

Moon Palace Cancun is one of the best resorts in Cancun. The largest of the Palace properties around the world, lies along the Mayan Riviera, with its rooms spread over three different sections. Each section has its own unique amenities, including a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. The property also hosts a lavish spa that offers a wide range of treatments, a fantastic hydrotherapy experience and multiple pools, including one with a swim-up bar, water slides and a Flowrider machine. There are over 20 restaurants and bars as well as nightly entertainment from shows at the amphitheater to the glamorous NOIR Nightclub.

Le Blanc Spa Resort

The most opulent adult-only all-inclusive in Cancun, the Le Blanc Spa Resort boasts a gorgeous white sandy beach and sits in the heart of the Hotel Zone. It’s famous for its extraordinary service – there are even butlers who will unpack your clothes for you. The resort also hosts a decadent spa with complimentary access to its hydrotherapy area, three free-form pools (two with swim-up bars) and lots of luxurious extras like a pillow menu and in-room aromatherapy. Rooms also feature two-person whirlpool tubs and most have either an ocean or lagoon view.

Riu Palace Las Americas

This magnificent property sits right on the beach about 15 minutes from downtown Cancun and boasts a gorgeous all-white turreted exterior and mosaic-tiled swimming pools that have the feel of an ancient Roman bath. The majority of its recently renovated suites include balconies with jaw-dropping sea views, and all come with turn-down service and mini-bars. One of its pools has a swim-up bar which serves as a popular gathering place for guests, with terraced lounger-filled sundecks that lead to one of Cancun’s very best swimming beaches.

Paradisus Cancun

The Mayan-inspired Paradisus Cancun with its tapered structures and tropical design, foliage-strewn lounges, four luxurious pools and swim-up bars make for the ultimate tropical escape. That can be taken up another notch by booking the “Royal Service” which includes access to a personal butler, poolside Bali beds, the spa, an upgraded room and other amenities that will truly make you feel like royalty. There are lots of dining options, with the Brazilian steakhouse, Market Grill, a favorite.  Enjoy theme nights, beach parties, a night club, nine-hole golf course, tennis court and a fabulous spa with an extensive massage menu as well.

NIZUC Resort and Spa

Located on a spectacular uncrowded stretch of white sands sheltered by mangroves, the NIZUC Resort faces the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, which means guests can take advantage of access to outstanding snorkeling along with incredible views of the Caribbean. This property not only offers one of the most scenic locales in all of Cancun, but its villas and suites include private terraces or balconies with ocean or garden views, mini-bars and upscale bath products – some even have private infinity pools. There are three bars, including a cigar lounge and a great swim-up pool bar, along with complimentary water sports and an excellent selection of restaurants.

Excellence Riviera Cancun

This adults-only resort lives up to the Excellence name, including the standard amenities of the luxury chain like its six meandering pools and an indulgent spa with beachside treatment huts. A grand entrance leads to its Spanish marble lobby, while rooms are similarly lavish, all featuring ornate Italianate furnishings, private balconies, hot tubs – and, a spectacular beach just outside the door. After enjoying a relaxing spa treatment, sip margaritas beneath a beachside palapa or take part in all sorts of activities, including dancing lessons, kayaking, archery, tennis and volleyball.

Hard Rock Hotel Cancun

An all-inclusive mega-resort, the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun offers so much there’s no need to ever leave unless you really want to. It’s home to a beautiful infinity pool with magnificent ocean views as well as two popular swim-up bars, five restaurants that serve delicious international fare, an outstanding spa, live entertainment and a great kids’ club. As the scene, especially around the swim-up bars, can get a bit rowdy, this property may be best for groups for friends and couples. All rooms come with balconies that have either a lagoon or ocean view, bathrooms with double-jetted tubs and contemporary decor with a rock ‘n roll theme.

The Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort

Set along the brilliant turquoise waters of the Caribbean, this resort features a massive infinity-edge main pool with in-water loungers and one of the best swim-up bars in Cancun. The pool deck includes a children’s pool with a water slide, and there are whirlpool tubs that hold as many as 15 guests. Just beyond the pool is a wide, beautiful white sandy beach dotted with palapas, umbrellas and lounge chairs. Activities are available too, like beach volleyball, sandcastle competitions, campfires and sand soccer.
