No. Overdraft services are not available with the Safe Debit Account. U.S. Bank will not authorize or pay overdrafts on ATM and everyday debit card transactions. These transactions will be declined if there is not enough money in your account, and you will not be assessed overdraft fees.

Under standard overdraft coverage, U.S. Bank charges a $36 overdraft fee per transaction with a maximum of 4 charges per day – up to $144. Under overdraft protection, you will not be charged overdraft fees if your account is overdrawn by $5 or less.
How long does it take for U.S. Bank to overdraft?The Overdraft Fee Forgiven period starts the first day the Available Balance becomes negative and the account was charged an Overdraft Paid Fee(s). Please note: If you were not charged an Overdraft Paid Fee(s), the period will not start. For example, on Wednesday the Available Balance is $10.
