Frequent Amazon Shopper - Easy Approval

Credit Karma Member

This is a great rewards card. My wife and I shop frequently on Amazon and will reap the 3% rewards quite often. So far we love the card and the power to manage my account online. A little about me... I have a fairly limited credit file. I started my credit journey in January 2015 with ano auto loan. I have made every single payment on time. In December 2015 I applied for Capital One Secured Card and was approved for a $200 limit with only a $99 deposit. I have kept utilization low (wife's advice) and made every payment on time. I was increased to $500 in June. I also applied for Chase Freedom in June and was approved for $500. Chase automatically increased my limit to $2000 in September. I have 5 comenity cards with nice credit limits and still keep utilization low. I applied for this card two weeks ago and was instantly approved for $2000 "Initial credit limit"!! Chase has been good to me and I will stick with them! CK scores TU 666, EQ 656 100% payment history 14% Utilization 13 Inquiries (Mostly due to shopping for an auto loan in February for my wife) 1 Collection of $325 which I will pay off at the end of this week

Stable workhorse

Appled as my first card when I was 20 or 21 with a very basic credit score. Initial CL of $1200 grew to $2000 over one year or so. Customer service is hit or miss; don't miss a payment by even a few hours or your account will be bumped up to the max APR.

Easy application process, stable card

This was my first credit card, I applied when I was 20 or 21 with a TU somewhere around the mid 600s. CL was initially $1200 but automatically grew to $2000 after a year or so. Be careful about missed payments. Not the serious, 30-plus-day-late kind, but the couple-hours-past-the-deadline kind. If you forget to pay exactly before the payment date and pay even a couple hours after, you'll be dinged with the max APR. That happened to me but I don't carry a balance so it doesn't matter. Customer service is hit or miss. You'll generally get a representative in the US. Just keep calling back if you don't hear what you want to hear.

Excellent card; has served me well

I have had this card for nine years now and I have zero complaints. I usually rack up somewhere between $20-$50 per month in points, so I end up getting a lot of free stuff from Amazon. I pretty much live off of this card, which is why I've made so much money on it. You can redeem any amount of points at any time during checkout - if you want to redeem $5.21, that's okay. If you want to redeem $200, that's okay too. New points are not available immediately; only after the statement date, but I hear that's pretty typical. I don't generally carry a balance. I have probably made thousands of dollars on this card over the years and have paid less than $30 in interest, so it's been very good to me. I want to say I started somewhere around a $2k-$3k limit for this card since it was my first real credit card other than a card of my parents' that I was an authorized user on, and my credit limit is now $9,900. I have never asked Chase for an increase; they have just automatically given them to me. I have no complaints. I just got a Freedom card so I can get more effective rewards, so my usage on this one will decrease a bit, but I will definitely keep this one and use it for years to come.

Applied on Amazon.com for this card bit wasn't instantly approved... Thought I was denied because they said my app needs further review... Anyways I went head an made my online purchase... And like about 10pm I received an email saying my Amazon card is ready...I was so surprised I was approved with a $2000cl.. I also have the chase Freedom with a $500cl

Application & Approval Fast & Easy

I'm very adverse to credit cards. We needed to purchase a new laptop, and although we had the cash, I had seen Amazon offering $70 in credit for their Chase credit card. I thought it was worth it, even though it shortened my credit history length with a new account. The application took just a minute or two. I was able to add an authorized user, but no SSN attached, so I'll have to change that later. I was instantly approved for $5k with a credit score in the low 700s. The APR is reasonable as well. The $70 was immediately added to my account and I could use the card immediately on my account as well. The physical card is supposed to come in two weeks, but I was sent an email immediately with details. I'm exceptionally happy with the process and limit. I can't wait to get rewards for items I always purchase from Amazon, anyway.

Quick and easy online approval!

I applied online; the process was so easy! I was hoping to get approved for the rewards... I shop Amazon all the time, but was unsure if I would be approved with fair credit. My CK scores are 660 & 666, with 52% utilization, and I was instantly approved with a $2000 CL! Plus I got a $30 reward instantly added to my account!

Great for Amazon shoppers

I had soent the better part of the past five years rebuilding my credit history and my scores seem to rise slowly (TU:641; EXP; 671) but decided to give it a shot as i did not have any inquiries on my reports. Got the standard "not enough information" response but within the evening I had received an email approving me for $1000. I frequent Amazon alot so the 3x adds up fast. For sure recommend this for anyone who shops there alot. The giftcard doesn't hurt either.

Great card but hard to increase limit

Credit Karma Member

I've had about a year. Got approved for a 500 limit with a score in the mid 6s. My score has gone up a lot since then but I have been denied for requesting an increase after a year. I usually pay off the balance in full each month. I tend to max it out. Even if I have cash, I like to use this card for the reward points. They have so many good options. They report in the middle of every month.

I applied for this card thinking I would get denied . Which after I hit the submit button I did . Credit karama states I have a 686 and a 646 with EQX. So a little back ground have 6 new open accounts a few baddies like one collection with a medical bill and two charge offs from Wells Fargo which was about 4 years ago. I have built my credit back up with a few store cards and regular cards one secured card with a year history , so I called up chase the reconsederation number and gave my reason why I need to get approved , after the fourth call I was approved for a $500 limit which is good considering my past , the rep approved based of my rebuild relationship and how far a came she was pleased to hep me out . I do have two accounts with them which I mentioned im not to sure if that helped , I'd would like to believe so !

Surprised I got this at such a low score

Credit Karma Member

I applied for the store card because I figured my 626 TU & EQ credit karma advantage 3.0 score could get that which i did at a $900 credit limit. Then I clicked the apply for this card and said what the heck Ill try. Was suprised I got instant approval for a $3000 c/l on the actual Chase Visa card. So I got $90 in amazon gift cards in my cart now. Almost up to 21 accounts in good standing now that I got added to my wifes cards. Just a couple more bad marks to fall off this year. Started the rebuild with a pre approved Capital One Platinum that came in the mail two years ago.
