So I haven't used the A/C on my CT since fall of last year.

This past Monday we finally got some warm weather, but the A/C is not blowing cold.

It's a 2010 V6 with about 80k miles.
Yes, the temperature was set to the lowest setting and the A/C was "ON"
I checked the A/C fuse on the left side of the driver foot well and it was OK. Is there another fuse, maybe in the engine bay?
I also looked at the compressor and I see no difference between A/C on and off. Should I see the inner part of the pulley spinning when the compressor clutch is engaged? If so, then it's not engaging.

The A/C was blowing very cold last time we used it so I'm leaning away from the posibility of a refrigerant leak. Unless something happened over the winter that caused a huge leak in a short time...

Any troubleshooting tips?

Here is how I would handle this if it was my car.

First: I would check the A/C fuse. In the driver’s side fuse box, I believe fuse number 16, (7.5 A) check this one. Check your owner’s manual to make sure.

Assuming the fuse is good, I would next check the charge in the A/C system. A low charge will keep the compressor from turning on. If you have A/C Gauges, now would be the time to hook them up. You can purchase a cheap set at Harbor Freight for $54.99 (even cheaper with a coupon).

Most common is that you lost enough refrigerant that is preventing the compressor from coming on. These things happen even if the system was doing super great the prior summer. Things break.

Or there are numerous shops that are currently offering A/C checks for around $49 or so, heck, even Jiffy Lube has an A/C system check.

Thanks crashmaster, yes I checked the fuse and it was good (your numbers are correct too). I've never checked pressure on an A/C system but I'm not afraid to try it. I noticed yesterday at pep boys that the R134 bottles come with pressure gauges. If there is a good chance that my problem is low refrigerant pressure, should I just go ahead and buy that? Or should I get the A/C gauges anyways? Thanks again!!

I guess it sort of depends on how much usage you feel you would get from a set of gauges.

Yes, you can just purchase a can of R134a with a low side gauge. My guess it that it will run about $30 for a 1.5 pound container. I cannot emphasize enough to read the instructions carefully and watch the YouTube video. Hopefully this will solve your problem.

Question: Some people tend to run their front defroster a majority of time in the winter (my wife does, as she is always talking on her phone and tends to fog the front windshield).

Running the front defroster turns your A/C compressor on and sometimes during very cold weather can cause leaks by having the O'rings freeze up and harden and causing the refrigerant to leak past. By chance, are you one who heavily uses the front defroster?

Unfortunately i'm somewhat joining you... I'm at our house in SC and it is 91 today. After dropping off our H2 this afternoon I noticed my air wasn't blowing as cold as last year and under heavy accelerate almost blows hot air.

Why won't my AC compressor clutch engage?

If the clutch doesn't engage, the problem could be a blown fuse, an open in the wire to the clutch coil, a bad clutch coil, a poor ground, or a low pressure lockout. In some vehicles the compressor clutch relay is turned on and off by the low pressure switch and the evaporator temperature sensor.

How do I force my AC compressor to engage?

At the compressor's front side, unplug the single wire connector, take a jumper wire and attach it to the wire that you just disconnected from the compressor. Connect the other end of the jumper's wire to the positive terminal of the car battery. This will enable the compressor to start manually.

How do I reset my Honda Accord AC?

Do this by turning the keys in the ignition to position two aka ACC/ACCESSORY position. Step 3: Find the defrost button and the OFF button on the climate control panel. Then, press and hold the OFF button while simultaneously pressing the defrost button. The light should go on and off five times.
