Man slips on ice in driveway

A man has become a smash hit overnight by having an unfortunate but hilarious slipping experience on a frozen puddle.

The man who is slipping is TikToker therealgrandcanyon201947. His caption is extremely appropriate on the original TikTok video "the world is my treadmill".

Most of us know what it is like to slip on a frozen puddle but we usually don't get the mishap on film and we usually fall down straight away unlike the bloke in this video who keeps slipping for a solid 15 seconds!

Watch the hilarious continuous ice slipping below.

A word to the wise, be on the lookout for frozen puddles this winter!

As expected, the comments have not let us down

A man who ventured outside in slip-on shoes despite a forecast of icy conditions is seriously regretting his decision.

Home surveillance footage captured the man, who seems to be American, walking off his front door and stepping casually onto his steep, sloped driveway.

But before he even manages to plant his front foot firmly on the ground, it slips out from beneath him — and he quickly slides on ice all the way down into the road, losing both of his shoes along the way.

Yikes! The driveway is completely covered in ice, and he slips and lands on his backside

Slip-ons were a bad choice: He loses both of his shoes and his cup in the process

The funny video was posted on Reddit this week by a user who claims to know the man in the clip, and promises he was OK after the fall.

'Forecast was for freezing rain, but had to go check it out...' reads the title.

The man is seen wearing a red sweater, shorts, and dark slip-on shoes, and is holding a cup as he steps down off a raised platform.

In the blink of an eye, though, his foot slips on ice as he steps onto his driveway, causing him to loose balance.

Both of his feet end up in the air, propelling each of his shoes upward and off his feet. Luckily, his head narrowly misses hitting a nearby brick.

The man continues to slide all the way down the declining driveway, unable to stop himself until he reaches a large solid puddle in the road.

At the bottom, he picks himself up but then bends over, clearly in at least a little bit of pain.

Skidding to a halt: He doesn't stop until he gets to a large ice puddle in the road

Ya'think? When his wife yells, 'Don't do that!' he replies, 'I didn't f***ing do it on purpose'

From inside the house, a woman — presumably his wife — shouts out to ask if he's OK.

'Don't do that!' she chastises, clearly startled.

The man, who has now hobbled over to pick up each of his shoes, retorts: 'I didn't f***ing do it on purpose.'

The video, which has made it to the front page of Reddit, has inspired thousands of replies.

'I’ve never seen shoes leave a mans body as violently before in my whole life,' quipped one.

'Below freezing temperatures "yeah flip flops and shorts sound about right today,"' wrote another.

'Everything about this is perfect. The shoes & beverage flying with near death head collision inches away. The defeated slide down the driveway. The limp as your wife is telling you not to do that; and you telling her you didn't f***ing do it on purpose. Perfect 10!' wrote a third.

Anytime a video from a Nest-type camera goes viral it's usually because of a dancing delivery man or some package thief discovers the "Beware of Dog" sign isn't for show. Less frequently do you find the owner of the camera posting an embarrassing video of something they did.

Jeffrey Takach shared a video of himself to YouTube on Wednesday, per Time. Like many people have had to do during this miserable cold stretch, he was out salting his driveway. You can easily see why it needed a little salt once he takes a step onto the steep slope of the drive and starts sliding on his shoes.

Takach eventually goes down. And then he goes down, down down, down to the bottom of the driveway along with the tub of salt he was using. As long as you don't slip and hurt yourself, his driveaway actually looks kind of fun.

In the video, he manages to get up pretty quickly once he reaches the street, which is both fortunate and impressive. However, there isn't any description or video shared about how he managed to climb back up the driveway he could barely stand on.
