Whats a good 100 meter time

The 100-yard dash is a track and field sprint event of 100 yards (91.44 metres). It was part of the Commonwealth Games until 1970, and was included in the triathlon of the Olympics in 1904. It is not generally used in international events, replaced by the 100-metre sprint (109.36 yards). However, it is still occasionally run in the United States in certain competitions; it was last run at the NCAA championships in 1975.[1][2] Walter Halben Butler (1852–1931) is credited with being the first to run the race in 10 seconds.[3]

What is a good time for 100 meter run?

Sprinters typically reach top speed after somewhere between 50 and 60 m. Their speed then slows towards the finish line. The 10-second barrier has historically been a barometer of fast men's performances, while the best female sprinters take eleven seconds or less to complete the race.

What is a fast 100 meter time for high school?

The official national high school record at 100 meters is 10 seconds flat, last achieved by Trentavis Friday of Cherryville, N.C., in 2014.

What is an average 100 meter time?

A good 100m time is 17.8. This is the average 100m time across all ages and genders. The fastest 100m time is 12.6.

How fast should a 15 year old run 100m?

Intermediate female sprinters ages 14 and 15 should achieve a time of 11.6 seconds in the 100-meter sprint and 26 seconds in the 200-meter sprint. The advanced group at ages 16 and 17 should clock a time of 12.5 seconds in the 100-meter sprint and 25.7 seconds in the 200-meter sprint.
