Pop It Like It’s Hot

So, you could either suck on a cube pop that’s like a tiny block of sweet candy goodness, or you could go for jaw breakers on a stick that look like colorful sugary planets, or tickle the kids’ fancy with teddy bear lollipops. The individually wrapped pieces are all handmade the old-fashioned way, with all sorts of crazy unique flavors like huckleberry and pina colada!

Be Sure You Stick Around

Check out our Rock Candy on a Stick and Cafe Sugar Sticks!. The crystals are extra large, making them lots more fun to munch on -- that’s 6 inches of flavor from the top of the candy to the bottom of the stick. The flavor is pretty intense; eat the rock candy sticks on their own, or stick the cafe sugar sticks into your cappuccino for a little extra oomph.

Usher in the Gold Rush

Well, yeehaw, it’s the Wild, Wild West over yonder in your living room! Choose between coal mine gum and gold mine gum (or get both), and evoke some fun and fantasy at your next birthday party or business meeting. To begin with, the gum nuggets are so cute to look at. Secondly, they usher in nostalgic thoughts of a simpler time gone by.

Let Your Imagination Run

We’ve got other types of candy to tickle your fancy. Try our Cinna-Pix for breath-freshening spicy cinnamon fun, or Neapolitan coconut bars and watermelon coconut bars for homemade goodness with every bite. We’ve also got heartwarming country fudge, and money mints that Ben Franklin himself wouldn’t be able to resist! Each of these candies make quite the impact at any sort of event.

From Our Family to Yours

It was 1993 in Las Vegas, and Luxor, Treasure Island, and MGM Grand opened on the strip. Brothers Sam and Alan Popowcer began ESPEEZ candy on the back of 5 years of success selling sundries to Vegas convenience stores. Mom Arlene and Dad Bob got involved pretty soon thereafter to help with operations, and in 2003, Fred Scharar, a good buddy of the family, got involved too.

Now, ESPEEZ is recognized for its colorful, flavorful, and nostalgic candies. With a lot of love and a lot of hard work, the Popowcer family is excited to bring their fun and vibrant confections to your family home.

Bogdon candy sticks are light and airy mint sticks flavored with real oil of peppermint, and double dipped in rich, dark chocolate. Initially invented for a wedding almost a century ago, these mint reception candy sticks are the candies your guests will rave about long after the lights of the reception hall go dim. Not just for weddings, Bogdon candy sticks from Candy Warehouse also come in Fruit Twist flavor as well as individually wrapped “Thank You” chocolate-dipped mini sticks that make fabulous parting gifts for guests at dinner parties or customers at an office or retail store. Christmas cheer is extra special with a red and white striped mini chocolate-dipped peppermint stick in your hot cocoa or stuffed in stockings for a sweet surprise from Santa! When planning a wedding, holiday party, or a lavish event, you can’t go wrong with these classically elegant treats!

I’ve never seen those, got any good descriptors or tasting notes for the unenlightend

level 2

It's like. A stick of candy. Kind of like a candy cane, but more chewy, with a chocolate cover like on pocky. Comes in orange, mint, Cinnamon, lemon.

The main company known for producing them, Bogdon, was sold to Richardson Foods about a dozen years ago... and honestly I haven't seen very many of them since. I used to get them at a store called World Market.

level 2

There is a place called "World Market" that just opened up near me. I will have to take a peek when I am in that area. 👍🏻

level 2

Yes I was able to get them at World Market this holiday season. Made by Roses Brands.

They are out of stock now. Wish they made them all year I am addicted.

Oh man, I just got the waxy flavor in my mouth. And how the candy part would kinda splinter if you bit it. There were elderly folks around if these were out

I AM SO GLAD YOU POSTED THIS.

I forgot how much I loved them.

level 1

Weird. I vaguely remember seeing these in stores. There were also the versions that were kinda like a jelly with chocolate on them.

I completely forgot about them until now.

level 2

If you can remember what the jelly version with chocolate were called I'd really appreciate it! I loved those as a kid but could never figure out what they were called.

level 1

I remember my grandma had these when I was a kid and I suddenly had a craving for them. I cannot figure out where to buy them. 🥲 I found Oh Nuts ones without the chocolate, but I am really looking for the chocolate orange kind. Those were my favorite.

Thanks all!

I bought some at Target a few years back.

level 2

Do you remember what brand? I worked at Target for a while and don't remember seeing them.

level 1

I've only ever seen them at the Nordstrom Cafe, but man are they delicious!

level 1

Fannie may used to make some, doesn’t look like they make them anymore either

I'm so sorry I can't help you find them, but you've unlocked such great childhood memories. There was a corner store close to my house growing up that sold these for 5 cents and I loved them! Thank you so much. I could never remember what these were called.

level 2

It took me so long to find out what they are called! I'm glad I could remind you of good times. 🙂

level 2

Thank you!!! 🥰 I really wanted the orange ones. But these will be perfect. I got the peppermint ones from world market.

Do they still make reception sticks?

Today, reception sticks are made in New York alongside mints, rock candy, and Beechies gum at Richardson's manufacturing plant there. Bogdon's reception sticks are available online (they have been since 1999).

What is hard candy on a stick?

Stick candy (also called candy stick, barber pole candy, circus stick, or barber pole) is a long, cylindrical variety of hard candy, usually four to seven inches in length and 1/4 to 1/2 inch in diameter, but in some extraordinary cases up to 14 inches in length and two inches in diameter.
