Does this mean I wont' be getting my shipment?
Barcode label unreadable and replaced
If it's unreadable, how do they know what to replace it with?

I don't really know exactly what you're talking about, but even if a barcode is unreadable for a barcode-reader, it might be identifiable with the naked eye and replaced like that?

Well I just quoted what's in the fedex tracking information. If all tjhe shipping info is done via barcode and the barcode was destroyed, I just wonder how they get things rolling again.

Most likely your address can be read, but the actual barcode can't be scanned for some reason (bad printer, label torn/folded/etc.). My guess is it'll get to you, but the tracking service may not work as it normally does.

OK, that sounds reasonable.

Don't barcode stickers usually have a decimal number on them you can type in manually?

If they couldn't read the number... how did they know it was your package in the first place?

It will still get to you-it'll just have a new barcode sticker on it.

Heh - first thing that came to my mind as well - think it through, jpinard - if they didn't know what the package was, they couldn't very well update the tracking for it, could they.

If it was returned, it would say it was returned.
They've either manually read the barcode number or created a new barcode with the address information.

Funny thing? I got it a day early! That all took place in Ohio middle of the night, and they got it delivered to me in mid-MI this afternoon. Wow!

All's well that ends well, I guess. If there was a number to be read on the label they may have been able to print up another label somewhere along the line too.
