After I find a tour I like, how do I join the tour?
Just call Diamond Tours and give us the tour number of the tour. We'll put you in touch with the leader of the group to sign up for the trip!
What kind of groups buy your tours? What type of group would I be joining?
Diamond Tours deals with 55+ groups of all kinds. From Senior Centers, Church Groups, AARP Chapters, Bank Travel Groups…….Travel Agents that resell our tours to Groups…...Bus Companies that are looking to keep their wheels turning and have group leader clients, and more! The leaders of those group leaders are regular people just like you! And so are their passengers!
How do I pay for the tour?
You will pay the leader of the tour directly, since the leader collects all of the monies for the tour initially. The tour leader then forwards all of group’s money to Diamond Tours.
Do you do day trips?
No. Diamond Tours only does overnight trips. Our trips range from at least two days in length up to 15 days in length.
Do you do international trips?
Diamond Tours offers destinations in Canada and the U.S. only. We do not offer trips to any other areas.
Do you allow kids on the bus?
Our trips are designed for senior citizens. 99% of the customers we serve our 55+ in age. However, if you have a situation to where you’d like to also bring a child with you, please let your Diamond Tours representative know, and we will discuss it with you to see what we can do.
Refund Policy
Diamond Tours has its own refund policy, which is a full refund up to two weeks prior to the tour. However, the refund policy of the group you are joining may be different. When you sign up with the group of your choice, ask about their cancellation policy. They have the right to a more strict policy if they choose. Of course, for a low cost you can always resolve this by purchasing Travel Protection, which is available through your group’s leader. We strongly suggest purchasing travel protection for peace of mind.
Seat Selection on the Bus
Each trip’s group leader for how they assign seating. It is typically in the order in which people sign up, starting from front to back. Another factor can be the health of the passenger or unusual size. When you sign up with the group leader, they will explain their system of how they assign seats on the bus.
Why can’t I sign up with you directly?
Diamond Tours sells each bus trip wholesale to each group leader. The group leader then sells it to the passengers. When each passenger signs up, they then send payment to that group’s leader directly.
Is the Group Leader’s price they charge the same as what you charge?
No, it will be a bit more in most cases. Usually, the group leader’s adds in their cost for buying everyone juices, food, games and movies on the bus. Some non-profit group’s like AARP or Church Group do each bus trip as a fundraiser too, so they mark it up a bit more for that reason. We also deal with many travel agents that buy our trips which need to make a profit in order to be in business. In almost all cases, the cost of the trip remains drastically lower than anyone else in America.
What type of Payments do you accept?
Each group leader is different. So, please ask the group leader that question when you contact them.
Where does each bus trip start and end from?
Each group leader has their own spot like, for example, a church parking lost. Your group leader will tell you their spot.
How long have you been in business?
Since 1987, over two million people have travelled with Diamond Tours® from all across America. We are the largest bus tour operator in America dealing exclusively in motorcoach group travel.
What kind of buses do you use?
We use only top-quality motorcoaches with at least 54 seats that are video and restroom equipped.
What hotels do you use?
In most cases, Diamond Tours® books non-smoking rooms with either two double or queen size beds in major franchise hotels. Our on-site representatives regularly inspect hotels for sanitation, hospitality and safety.
What support do you provide during the tour?
Diamond Tours® Destination Managers are on hand at the destination to assist you (most destinations). We also provide your Group’s Leader with a list of staff telephone numbers prior to your departure. These staff members will be intimately acquainted with your tour, and they are available twenty-four hours a day.
Do you provide all the tour documents and itineraries?
We supply you with all of the tour documents and itineraries you need. We think you’ll agree, they are the most detailed itineraries in terms of specifics than any other tour company in America.
