Upgraded from my 19 XL1200 to a 22 FXLRS LA Choppers 1 1/4 single gauge mount kit Kraus 10in KICKBACK ISOLATED RISERS ODI grips 6in Extension Clutch Cable 32in Upper brake line

Not a fan. Horizontal seems like a downgrade TBH.
Happy with my 2020FXLRS dual gauge relocation.

yeah i agree with ya.. i would mount them like you have yours. but no one that i saw makes single mounts for risers.

I mean maybe you should have waited to do any modifications just cuz it looks weird but I get you trying to upgrade already...that was me and my 21 RG back in February of 21. I think mymachinest is making some pull back risers and single gauge set up. Maybe check in with them to see when they coming out with them.

yeah i would’ve waited but i’m short and needed the pull back in order to ride comfortable and confidently

Wow what a downgrade. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

currently the only option rn with the 22s being so new. no other location of aftermarket brackets for single gauge

Looks to me like there are a few better gauge mounting options. You can use same mounting holes you use now and make a custom bracket to go under bars and over, also it seems like you can use the top bar clamp as there is a gap.

just thought of doing that last night. gonna try and size it up today

Man not bad at all considering it’s temp and there isn’t much out there at the moment.

I just reached out Bung King and they confirmed their risers will work with the 2022 FXLRS OEM top clamp! Only problem is I don't think they have pullbacks, only straight risers.

Dumbest gauge placement I’ve ever seen.

thanks for the helpful opinion dude👍🏼 it’s a cheap temporary fix until i find other cleaner options

How many inches are those Kraus risers?

I hope this post helps out anyone looking to put risers on their new fxlrs.. with the 22 fxlrs gauges being relocated from factory i had to figure out a way to mount them with after market pullback risers, especially since i’m shorter. all in all i love the way it feels now and gonna keep an eye out for maybe a cleaner way to relocate the singe gauge.

This is how I’m seeing them done right now to be honest. Haven’t seen anything relocated to the top of the bars yet.
