Yes. I reccomend a quality bulb like Narva or Osram, not the silverstar or blue-tinted ricer junk. Some people are having good luck with doing HID conversions also.

The Outlander is an H4 bulb and the Renegade is a 9005, just to let you know. I've ran the PIAA GTX plasma H4 bulb in my 07 Outty 800xt, now i run the PIAA GTX Plasma 9005 bulb in the Reny, plus i run the PIAA HID Cross Country lights on my Fasst Flexx bars. I've never had any issues with these bulbs and they are brighter. I even run them in my sleds. Between my bulbs and my HID's, night time riding is amazing.

Would the piaa H4 super plasma GTX bulbs work

Apparently they will work, but a severe duty, quality bulb from Narva, such as this one:

//store.candlepower.com/rose12v60h4h.html

is really a better choice. You get the extra wattage with no gimmicks and it's a rough service bulb made for heavy equipment, so the shaking from the trail won't bother it. I have run these in 3 outlanders and had great luck.

As long as it takes H4 bulbs they'll be fine, and are a nice, reliable upgrade over the stock 35watt bulbs. I run mine with both the lows and highs on at the same time 100% of the time I'm riding at night, still no problems after over a year of use.

I would think questions like "are they brighter than stock" and "will they work in my 06 outty" would be something you were sure of before you ordered them?

Yes, they are brighter because of the 55W, not because of some ricer blue tint that lets the company claim they are 'whiter'.

I don't know if they'll fit your outty, I assume they will since I've put them in 2 07's and 1 08, all of which use the same bulb.

Piaa doesn't make your bulbs, they just rebrand them as their own. Do they have anything marked on them that would allow us to identify where they actually came from?

JOE, i'm sure the CANDLEPOWERS are great, but so are the PIAA's, i've never had one of there bulbs ever burn out and i've been running them for years. They work and work well, simply is that.

What I was TRYING to ask was if your bulbs were identifiable so we could find out who made them. They could be made by a reputable company and then they would be another choice for people, as long as they cost less than buying directly from that other company.

An example: I have some Hella branded bulbs I run in my Jeep. They are marked "hella" then marked "Narva" so they are brought in by Hella, from Germany, and rebranded, or built by Narva for Hella. The same could be the case for your Piaa's. I do not know, but would LIKE to know.

Also, Candlepower just happens to be where I can find them reliably, they aren't made by them, usually they aren't even reboxed by them, although sometimes, and I have no affiliation with them whatsoever, just to avoid any confusion.

How do I know what size headlight bulb?

Check the Owner's Manual In some cases, a bulb will have its size or type printed on the light bulb or housing. Often, you'll have to check your owner's manual to determine the correct size, especially for tiny bulbs, such as those used for turn signals and brake lights.

Are H9 and 9006 bulbs the same?

As stated above, the performance of a STOCK wattage 9005 / H9 is indistinguishable from an over wattage 9006 / H11. Using the stock bulb produces LESS heat AND PROVIDES LONGER LIFE.
