1972 ford f250 4x4 for sale craigslist

You see Ford pickup trucks everywhere in America. From the F-150 and its tougher and stronger F-250 and F-350 variants, Ford trucks are part of the American landscape. How much so? They have been the most popular vehicle in the country for the past 70 years.

Trucks are made for hauling and towing. While that is true, they are also perfect blank slates for customizing and accessorizing to the taste of their owners. Huge tires, gun racks, toppers, lift kits, giant tires, you name it - people have stuck it into and onto a truck. They are truly one-of-a-kind American works of art.

So we asked the question: "How much Ford truck can you get for 10K?" We scoured the net using Autotrader, Car Gurus, Facebook Marketplace, and Craigslist to find the most tantalizing examples at that price point. Here are 15 Ford pickup trucks that we found for $10,000 within one week of our publication date.

15/15 1995 Ford F-350 Crew Cab ($10,000)

via Craigslist

This Ford F-350 "dually" Crew Cab has clocked 162,496 miles and features a 7.3-liter Powerstroke diesel engine with twin gas tanks for big sipping long hauls. This is a second-owner vehicle with crisp air conditioning, power windows and a sweet tool box in the bed. The exterior looks fantastic.

14/15 1972 Ford F-100 ($9,614)

via Watseka Ford Lincoln

From the oldie-but-a-goodie file comes this two-tone green 1972 F-100 (which came out back when green was cool). The mileage is listed as "1," so there's that. But still, this respectable vintage Ford with a (wait for it) green interior and a manual transmission certainly has a story to tell to anyone who'll listen (and plop down ten grand).

13/15 2008 Ford F-150 SuperCrew 4x4 ($9,950)

via Tim's Truck Capital

With only 69,077 miles on the odometer, this black 2008 F-150 4x4 "Super Crew" might just be the best bargain listed here. The 5.4-liter V8 gas engine is electronically fuel-injected and paired up with a 4-speed automatic. The outside looks pretty clean and the fender flares tell you what time it is.

12/15 2003 Ford Ranger ($9,500)

via True Car

This little truck out of Sacramento, CA, is a handyman's dream machine. Showing only 53,000 miles on the clock, this note-perfect 2003 Ford Ranger Super Cab has a 3.0-liter V6 that runs on gas and pushes power to the rear wheels. Everything about this truck screams after-hours maintenance call.

11/15 2005 Ford F-150 King Ranch Super Crew ($9,995)

via True Car

You'll be large and in charge of the Cracker Barrel parking lot as you roll up in this boss 2005 F-150 four-door 4x4 King Ranch Super Crew short bed that runs on gas and sports a beefy 5.4-liter V8.  The Dark Toreador Red Metallic is spectacular as is the measly 75,135 miles. All hail the King Ranch.

10/15 2006 Ford F-350 XL Super Duty ($9,999)

via Bay City Motors

It's hard to find a one-owner dually from 2006 in mint condition like this one. The 6.0L V8 32V DDI OHV turbodiesel is a 1-ton beast, capable of towing city blocks. The CarFax is clean. All work has been done professionally. According to the seller, it looks like a "3-4-year old vehicle inside out."

9/15 2003 Ford F-350 Super Duty ($10,000)

via Craigslist

They don't get much bigger than this black 2003 F-350 Super Duty diesel. It has a long bed, four doors, and an 8.5-inch lift to go along with 35-inch rubber on cool 22s. This California truck is straight-piped and said to be "bulletproof." We're pretty sure they are talking about reliability but hey, you never know.

8/15 1971 Ford Ranchero 500 ($10,500)

via Craigslist

You would have to look pretty hard to find a better example of a Ranchero than this 1971 500 model with only 41,000 miles. The car half is actually pretty beefy thanks to a 240 hp, 351 two-valve V8 engine and C4 automatic transmission that gets up and goes. Only "some minor bodywork issues" keep this from perfection.

7/15 2004 Ford F-150 XLT Extended Cab ($10,000)

via Craigslist

Although this 2004 F-150 XLT Extended Cab with a clean title shows 171,000 on the odometer, there is still plenty of life left in the 4.6-liter V8. Electric amenities such as windows, door locks, and seats give this off-road cruiser all kinds of creature comfort. The tires are brand new and trail-ready, along with the 20-inch wheels.

6/15 2007 Ford F-250 Super Duty ($10,000)

via Facebook

This Super Duty has been around the block a few thousand times (250,000 to be exact). But it is dent-free and very clean inside. It also sports a 6.0-liter engine, cold air, and power windows. The 4x4 has also been lifted and rides on 35s. The owner wants to trade for a Chevy. Hmmm.

5/15 1997 Ford F-350 ($10,500)

via Facebook

Is this 1997 Ford F-350 as "absolutely incredible" as the seller claims it is? The lifted two-door features 44-inch Super Swamper tires and a burly 460 engine that "runs great." The white on gray big boy has 158,000 miles on the ticker. How many of those were spent spraying mud?

4/15 2004 Ford F-150 FX4 ($9,900)

via Facebook

This stunning 2004 F-150 FX4 has driven a whopping 210,000 miles. But it sure does look clean (it helps that it is owned by an auto detailer). Upgrades include a new engine installed in 2017, a lift kit, new rims, tires, LED lights, dual exhaust, and a fancy LED front grill. Includes all service records.

3/15 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty King Ranch ($9,999)

via Facebook

This blue-on-beige 2008 F-250 Super Duty King Ranch can tow up to 15,000 pounds thanks to a stout 6.8-liter V10 engine. The truck's leather interior has seen some miles, however, clocking over 213,000 so far. But it runs and drives "very well," has no known issues, and features new tires. Bonuses include 4WD and ABS.

2/15 2004 Ford F-150 FX4 ($10,000)

via Facebook

This 2004 F-150 FX4 looks tough and ready to tackle whatever you can throw at it. The heavily modified behemoth has 123,745 miles under its red belt. The mods are too lengthy to list but include steel bumpers, differential covers, a winch, Procomp shocks, etc. Minor rust is creeping in on the door and the air conditioning is broken.

1/15 1948 Ford F-1 ($10,000)

via Facebook

This 1948 Ford F-1 pickup looks a little rough around the edges. And perhaps the mismatched green door and rusty hood aren't exactly selling points. But at ten grand, this clean-titled time machine could be an amazing project. The "very solid driving truck" has only been driven "12,345 miles," which seems made up. Will trade for land.
